俄國生產的飛彈火炮武器在他們國內有四種名稱:
1.設計名稱(Design name)
2.工業生產代號(Industry name)
3.俄國國防部飛彈火炮局編號(GRAU index)
4.正式服役番號(Service designation)

此外,西方國家還給它們編一個北約代號(NATO codename),基本上只是為了方便美國盟邦或死美國佬辨識而已~

舉例來說,中共跟俄國買的現代級驅逐艦上最令台灣海軍害怕的超音速反艦飛彈:

北約代號: SS-N-22 Sunburn(日灸)
GRAU編號:3M80
正式服役番號:P-270 Moskit ; (俄文:П-270 «Москит») - 蚊式
設計名稱和工業生產代號:不詳
